Metal Invader - The True Metal Experience

After 4 whole years OBITUARY came back to the crime scene to give again their best shot! I have to say that this time they were alone, not having any supporting band! That was better concerning that the previous time Susperia (not the greatest band on earth) and Mortiis (I hate them and especially this traitor called "Havard Ellefsen" ex- Emperor)! Anyway, let's forget the past and move on to the present…

Having nothing more to do than standing and waiting for the legendary OBITUARY to come out, I was getting more and more impatient! I didn't want to miss a thing so I was in the front row talking with some friends when suddenly I heard the introduction of one of my favorite death metal songs…"Find The Arise"! Panic, chaos and destruction are just not enough to describe what followed…Songs from their early albums "Chopped In Half", "Turned Inside Out" and "Cause Of Death" made this small club look like a cage of WWE wrestling finals! The sound was great and the whole band was performing a "seminar's live appearance". Tardy was crossing the stage all the time and his totally rotten growls were polluting the atmosphere. "Face Your God" and "Evil Ways" from their new album "Xecutioner's Return" were a true released anger that seemed to be an endless torture for our bodies (hell yeah!!! The mosh-pit was unstoppable)!

After one hour OBITUARY left the stage but the still thirsty for blood crowd was shouting: "We want more! We want more"! After a while, Donald returned to the stage and started a drum solo (I can't say that this was the best I've ever heard, making me wonder if this was important to be added in this show). Ralph Santolla came on the stage too and then followed the rest of the band. What song is the perfect one to end this outstanding appearance? Of course the one and only "Slowly We Rot"!!! The crowd, with all its power left, made the place even hotter!

Almost one and a half hour of pure death metal holocaust and unfortunately it was about time for this show to come to an end. I wish OBITUARY could have played more but in this life we can't have everything we want. I was so exited and full of scratches too and that's a sign that this live show was successful! OBITUARY once more proved how a real death metal band should stands on a stage!

I hope they will come back soon for another death metal overkill!!!
