I had heard so many good things about this band, so when I was given the chance to review their album I jumped the gun and went straight for it. I guess I must learn to filter the stuff I am told. This by no means is a bad record, but it surely ain’t the record that is going to set the world on fire. SISTER SIN come from god knows where, which I bet is someplace in Scandinavia (well I wasn’t given a press release or something and I ‘m too lazy to search the internet about their origin) and play a sultry kind of rock n roll, a tad sleazy with female vocals (their singer is a quite nice looking bird that sounds not a thousand miles away from Doro Pesch). Well most of their songs are average with a couple really cutting the mustard and they also attempt a cover of “Paint it black” by the STONES which is not half as bad. The production is good but not lively enough and the whole result is a bit clinical. While you would expect the record to be completely balls out and wacky (if it were a really good one) this sounds a bit err. pre calculated for lack of a better word.
