There is no doubt that SILENTIUM are one of Finland’s most talented bands. They have developed a unique identity that distinguishes them from the rest of the atmospheric metal bands. This time they have prepared an astonishing concept album enhanced with a cast that additionally includes actors in order to provide an intense atmosphere to the dramatic plot. The songs alternate with short dialogue acts that give a theatrical touch to the album. The structure of the album is brilliant and songs like “Lost is my name” clarify that SILENTIUM can incorporate the heavy riffing with Wagner-ic crescendos. If you still feel attracted to the melancholy that haunts SILENTIUM from the days of “Infinita plango vulnera”, give a chance to “Sufferion” to prove it self. It surely deserves it.
