Fashion nowadays demands this gothic metal style that owns it’s birth to the last musical period of PARADISE LOST (from “One Second” and after) and not only to them. As young persons, the members of Swedish BESEECH couldn’t resist to the call of a new era, so they modified their style to the totally ruminated gothic metal type. This of course, doesn’t mean that they’re doing bad…Fresh ideas, beautiful voices-male and female, sweet harmonies, atmospherically passages, proper production for the style e.t.c. However, if I say that I hear something new, different from similar albums of the kind, I would lie. Basic influence of the group appears PARADISE LOST as also THE GATHERING, mainly in the use of female vocals. From the 10 songs of the album, hits as “Illusionate”, “Between The Lines” and “Souls highway” can be picked out, as also the doomy cover to ABBA’s “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme” song, that will be used as a bonus track for the special edition of the reported album.
