And here is where the talent of Pat Travers really starts to manifest in the most thunderous way. “Makin’ Magic” the man’s second album is to many people one of his best. It’s not to hard to tell why. A much more upbeat and harder rocking release than the debut album – with the thunderous title track rippin it open in fine fashion and the classic ‘Rock n’ Roll Susie’ (oooeer). Phewww! The album is also memorable for the appearance of one Nicko McBrain (of IRON MAIDEN fame) on drums alongside long time bassist ‘Mars’ Cowling. The album’s highlight is, though, perhaps Pat’s heartfelt message to his own brother ‘Stevie’ which eerily starts in a very similar way as “beyond the realms of death”. A really vital piece of rock history. ‘Makin’ Magic’ is where the Pat Travers story REALLY starts... Remastered especially for this CD release and containing original art work and new sleeve notes.
