Immolation - Majesty And Decay

(Nuclear Blast) Total Time: 45:03

It’s 2010 and what I really missed all those years was a new IMMOLATION’s album. Well, my wish came true and now I’m more than happy while listening to “Majesty and Decay”, the eighth release during 24 years of existence. Before I move on with the review of this album, I have to say that IMMOLATION seem to mature year after year and this is obvious by every release, like in this one too…
After the haunted intro, the real massacre begins. IMMOLATION created once more a monstrous and powerful album where the brutality is obvious and threatening like a punch coming in your way while the melodies are well hidden like a snake in its nest. The drums are once more gigantic and perfectly executed; the guitars here create sick and melodic riffs establishing the signature sound of IMMOLATION. The bass is present too and gives strength to the final sound. Ross Dolan’s merciless vocals are what the fans would expect to listen. The production is more than excellent like never before! All songs are memorable and leave you no way of argument. If you haven’t noticed, we have to deal with the legends of U.S. death metal!
If this release doesn’t sound well to your ears, then call your emo friend to change your eyeliner’s color!
