(Bleeding Chainsaw) Total Time: 39:51
WICCA is a German thrash band which was born in 1985 and released it’s first and only LP “Splended Deed” in 1987 from the German label Steps records. The band decided to re-master this album in 2006 in order to be released as a limited cd version. The band’s reunion took place in 2007 and in the beginning of 2008 “Splended Deed” is reissued by Bleeding Chainsaw records.
“Splended Deed” is a very good thrash record, however unknown for the most. It has it’s personal style with very good sound and great rhythm section which reminds caterpillar and a lot of technical parts without getting boring and tiring to the listener. The production is excellent and all of the instruments can be heard clearly (something that we rarely see even in our days). The lyrics deal with serious topics such as war, drug addiction, fascism etc.
This reissue is very good, the booklet provides information for the band, contains lyrics but there’s a mistake in it. It contains only one photo of the band as it was in the era of the release of the record and
many pictures of the members of the band as they are today. I think that these photos are rather indifferent
and I believe that there should be more photos from the old days.
For all those who are in search of underground masterpieces “Splended Deed” is a temporary answer to their quest.
