    SEMEION is an Italian Death Metal band that exists since 1994. Their major influences are bands like Death, Atheist, At The Gates and Meshuggah. They have been through many line-up changes and have recorded two demos and this EP “94.07” which caught my attention from the first seconds.
    The music is basically progressive death metal with some brutal death elements and doom elements which you can find in Tiamat and My Dying Bride. All of the five songs are excellent compositions and very well performed, leading to the conclusion that this band consists of talented and technically skilled musicians. The production is clean and powerful, which gives the band an extra advantage, although I would like the guitar sound to be a little higher. The only thing that I think it needs to be improved is the vocals, mostly the pronunciation, although some may find it exotic and dark.
    I suggest you should check out that band and I believe I will be very glad when I will get their first full length release in my hands...
