Demos : Ethereal Blue - Promo 2007

    ETHEREAL BLUE is a Greek death-black experimental metal band formed back in 2002. Until now the have released a demo and a full length album in 2005. From the beginning of 2008 they have linked with the Italian agency Alkemist-Fanatix that officially handles the band’s management. Through the years they have gained some experience supporting bands like Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh and Naer Mataron.
    This promo contains two lengthy songs: “Mother Grief” and “John Wood” which are mainly haunted by the black metal spirit although there are many experimental passages both in their music and vocals. I found it quite interesting but they have work to do in order to finalize their efforts. The music is hidden by the brutal vocals which need some improvement. In addition to this, the guitars should be heavier if they want to support their dark feeling. They combine speed, brutality with ethereal melodies and this broadens their music limits.
    I’m looking forward for their new full length album and I believe that if they continue experimenting and working hard as musicians a successful future awaits them.
