From Madrid (Spain) comes a heavy metal band named GAUNTLET. The band was formed in 1998 by two musicians that come from two different music backrounds.
Daniel Millan (guitar) was playing in a thrash metal band and Jose Luis Viruete was the singer of an AOR band.
Their discography counts one EP (The Comeback), one LP (Path Of Nails), one single (Jack The Riffer), one compilation LP (Symphonic Archives Volume 1), one promo DVD (The Comeback Videoclip), and three demo’s (Rising 2 edition, Rising, Gauntlet).
Even though GAUNTLET are from Spain, they sound like an American band. Influenced by the American scene of 90’s, having the grunge sound mixed with heavy melodies, they prove to us that they know how to rock. Vocals are influenced pretty much by Johny Solinger(Skidrow).
In general "The Comeback" is an interesting heavy metal EP that’s worth checkin’ it up.
