EREVOS were formed in October 2004 and released their first demo “Burning Souls” in August of 2005. With a delay of two years and even though they have already recorded another work, this demo-work came to our hands willing to be reviewed. So we are talking about a pure black metal band influenced by other great bands of its kind (and other kinds) such as Emperor, Behemoth, Immortal, Satyricon, Ancient, Dark Funeral and Hypocrisy. As you all understand EREVOS is a band insisting and faithfull to the old school of the black metal scene! Maybe they haven't got their own personal style but they really have the strength to present a pure black metal work and get here! The keyboards of Tisiphoni combined with the razor-sharp riffs of Decomposer, all mixed in a draggy melody accented by black metal-brutal vocals, produce the desirable atmosphere which is needed in order to express their feelings.
The production of the demo is not so clear but this may on purpose, with a view to fit in with the style of the band. I guess they succeed it well enough!
