Welcome to Metal Invader

Destructor - Forever In Leather

(Auburn Records) Total Time: 47:04

This is the forthcoming album (official release date October 30th 2007) by Cleveland’s (US) legends of steel; Destructor. I am sure that many of you still bang your fucking heads with their classic 80s release Maximum Destruction (1984). The band split after the murder of the bassist Dave Iannicca and they have been on ice during the 90s –like lots of killer US bands-. Thanks God of Steel they have returned somewhere around 2000 releasing two EPs -Sonic Bullet” (2003) and “Storm Of Steel” (2007)- and taking the venues by storm. Their new album Forever In Leather simply grabs the classic Destructor sound and brings it to your stereo speakers that should be turned into maximum volume. What you still have not heard destructor. Ok imagine a killer mixture of Thrash and Speed Metal with many heavy references. Put Slayer, Infernal Majesty and Death Angel into the same mix and then you would have something very close to the sound of Destructor. The band delivers pure Steel and they are doing it the right way with tracks like “Tear Down The heavens”, “Skull Splitter”, “Forever In Leather”, “Straight To Hell” etc. I can assure that even those who are not generally satisfied with Thrash Metal will find some good Metal in here cause Destructor manage to mix killer riffs –the traditional way-, great solos –and not anti solos like all the typical everyday Thrash bands-, passionate wild vocals and a hammering rhythm section and all these in the good old Cleveland way. What else do you want? Stay tuned for the album, if you STILL need some pure steel then grab it as soon as possible. Cheers!
