These days, Greek-metal scene is providing us with some great music. I might say that these products are equal to other European releases.
So, after FALLEN WITHIN, it`s time for us to welcome RANDOMWALK with their new excellent job!
The band is from Athens (Hellas) and the last lineup is:
Jean Baptiste vocals,
Dorian - Keys,
Vortimer Guitars,
Golgotha Bass,
Harry Mason Drums.
With a result THAT good, you fail to notice that this is actually their first work. You can easily understand that this is a 100% professional job with a great production. All the instruments sound clear as crystal!
The album's main focus is atmospheric Death/Gothic metal with loads of elements from other metal genres like NU METAL. The guitars are well-played, the riffs are clever and well-produced and it`s unlikely that you're gonna forget'em anytime soon (some parts though are similar to old school CREMATORY). Keys from Dorian (key player of KAWIR as well) provide a very melancholic essence, and they are not boring at all! Drums are really great and are perfectly matched for that particular metal style. Through the result you can easily understand that Harry Mason really worked for'em. Finally there is a lot of clean vocal style from Jean Baptiste and the classic death growls are definitely there!
It looks like the guys have really worked hard for that album and everything is perfect to the last detail. They are not like some other groups that they write random stuff (below average) within one week in there home studio...
As far as i know, these days RANDOMWALK are looking for a label and i'm quite sure that this is gonna happen really soon, so this outcome will be reproduced and everyone can enjoy it cause these guys... really worth it!!
Furthermore I know that they have arranged some gigs to support the album.
