This time, DARK SANCTUARY present us with a darker and much more atmospheric mood, a little more experimentation in terms of orchestration and arrangements and a clearer and more transparent production. Once again, Eliane’s dramatic voice takes the lead and sets the mood and character of the whole album. Acoustic instruments, effects, background noises, ambient passages, percussions and voices, amalgamate to create the monster of a record this album is.
Do not be fooled; History is being repeated ladies and gentlemen and I fear it will not be long ‘till our next discussion of this worldwide “phenomenon” called DARK SANCTUARY!
To conclude, this is another fine release and a “classic” within its genre. I honestly believe that with this album, DARK SANCTUARY epitomize the end of an era – a most successful era, which will only bring greater success in the future. Well, kudos to them!
