Irish metal act HONEY FOR CHRIST describe their music as "100% raw, unclean, uncut and honest fucking heavy metal". This statement could not be truer, as in this new E.P we are presented with 5 mature heavy metal tracks full of rage and aggression.
Having been in the scene for quite some time (since 1998) they have progressed from one release to another and it shows with their new offering. The mixture of fast-paced (speed) heavy metal with darker and slower elements (as in "Sorrow Descending") only serve to prove the diversity of their music, forcing the listener to sit down and just listen to their music.
My only real concern and complaint is that the production could have been a bit better, especially the drum sound, but overall they manage to convey and shout out their message loud and clear.
Don't be mislead, this is one of those records that deserves to be played loud! I'm hoping that my next review is going to be for their first full-length album, but until then wet your appetite and enjoy another undiscovered metal gem!
