THE ALIEN BLAKK is the spiritual child of Joshua Craig. He is a guitar player, with a lot of experience with such diverse musicians, as Rob Halford, WHITE ZOMBIE, KISS, CYPRESS HILL, Christina Aguilera, to name but a few. In this one, his first instrumental album, he present to us his diversity, and musical complexity. He is joined by no other than Dave Ellefson of MEGADETH fame on bass and Craig Nielsen form FLOTSAM AND JETSAM on drums.
You may think this will be another instrumental, shredding album, full of speed metal melodies and extreme rhythm patterns. Well the result is on the opposite site. From Latin groove things like "Sol amente" to industrial like piece of music like "The thing", Josua Craig, shows potential and ability to move the instrumental albums, one step further. Musically is closer to Joe Satriani than Steve Vai, still he has avoid the neoclassical influences that are torturing the young guitar generation. With a guitar sound fluid and mature, and a stiff, heavy rhythm section, he offers an album, of variety, that will lease all the guitar maniacs and a few more of you out there who like good rock music.
