Avian - From The Depths Of Time
(Massacre Records) Total Time: 55:04
This is the debut album from this power metal band from the U.S. Their music is moving in the paths of the modern way of this style and more in the European way. For a debut work it is not bad at all with nice performing and good production, but the problem seems to be the very similar songs in the album. The feeling of the whole album is almost the same from the beginning until the end of it and this fact makes you feel that in the middle of the CD you have already heard everything that you could from the band. Of course the level of the songs is high but I think that they had to create something a little more variety or at least something that wouldn't last almost an hour. Anyway they sure leave many hopes for the future and it is sure that their abilities are very high. Let's hope that in the future they will provide us something more interesting. I also have to mention that in the vocals we find Lance King (ex-Balance Of Power, Pyramaze) and on the bass David Ellefson (Ex-Megadeth).
