This is the fifth release of this neo-classical/ambient/gothic/deeply atmospheric French band and although this was my first contact with their music, I was overly impressed.
This is truly, one of the best albums of the year, with its distinct character, sound and whole image. The voices, the music, the sounds, flow so naturally in the air, as they become one to form this ultimate musical odyssey. This is one of these CD's where you just press "Play" on your player and you get drawn into this magical world that DARK SANCTUARY have created. An amazing experience, indeed!
There is really no point in trying to explain with words the magic behind this release. Besides it will not do any justice to it. You have to listen for yourselves to truly appreciate this magical journey to a world long forgotten, and who knows, maybe in the end you might find your own dark sanctuary.Highly recommended!
