This four track single would appeal more to the fans of AFTER FOREVER, although it could also stand as an introductory vehicle to those who might be interested in the Dutch band. What you got here is well mastered goth-metal with real heavy guitars, extensive use of violin, an excellent soprano and a distinct ability to create good songs. However, the band can not hide away their GATHERING and THERION influences but this can be taken as a minor offence since they pay back with really good, trippy and catchy anthemic tunes. Operatic metalness at its best! In this single you will discover a previously unreleased track (For The Time Being) and a previously unreleased orchestral version of ‘Imperfect Tenses’ which has an interesting theatrical touch. The other tracks are the same-titled single version and ‘Forlorn Hope’ from the album ‘Decipher’.
