Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor

(Century Media Records) Total Time: 57:57

New album from NEVERMORE and the situation here is once again the same. This band always was (and I believe that also always will be) one of those who can only be loved or hated. They have a very unique sound that can't be found in any other band. This is what they always offered to us and this is what they are giving us with this new release. With a new member in their line up (Steve Smyth: ex TESTAMENT / DRAGONLORD) they manage to sound fresh and powerful as they always did in an album that has everything that a fan of the band would ask. Strong compositions full of power and passion, an excellent vocal performing and a fine production. Of course all those will be recognized only by those who enjoy their music because for all the others this is just another album from a band that sounds boring, without playing something special that is very much more recognized than it really deserves. So, what can I say? If you are one of the band's fans this release is en excellent choice for your collection that will stay in you CD player for a very long time, but if you don't belong to this side of the metal audience this is sure a release that won't help you being a follower of the band, simply because it is in the veins of all their works until now. The decision will finally, as always be yours, so don't try to think very much about it, as it has always been with NEVERMORE love them or hate them!
