Well fucking done! Brilliant melodic death metal from the Swedish band CANOPY which prove that they go one step further from all the AT THE GATES/IN FLAMES copying bands of their country. They compose progressive songs but without lacking heaviness and intensity. They play their asses off, changing mood, tempo and style from one moment to another using melodic and atmospheric gateways which lead to a death metal holocaust! Vocals of true brutality (and not wannabe-aggression/hidden-gayness vocals) which could have been taken from a MORBID ANGEL album make the music sound really unique. The production is perfect, all five songs of this demo are perfect, the artwork is very good for a demo, I can't find something negative in this release. These guys may become the Swedish answer to LOUDBLAST! And that's really fuckin' something! Besides that, they deserve to be hailed since they dedicated their performance to Mieszko Talarczyk (RIP). Go find a label NOW!
