NONEUCLID come from the Netherlands and they play Death/Thrash metal with a symphonic touch and a theatrical approach in the vocals, which are both clean and aggressive ones. Their CD includes seven tracks in a concept about (as it is written in their booklet) "the violent and inevitable death of the entire universe, personified by god-like entities from beyond the cosmos". They combine very nice the music with the lyrics which is always the basic point in a concept album, so I have to say that they manage to do what they want to. It is a CD that seems to have been done after much work from some guys that enjoy what they do. On the other hand it is not a material that cannot be recommended to everyone because it has a unique sound with many different things in it that makes it not so easy listening from someone who likes to listen to some standard compositions and sounds, but as a music result, and that's how we all have to see it, it a very nice example of what a band can create when it has imagination and skills. For all those who want to listen to something different than all this stuff that we get recently to our hands (or should I say to our ears?) this is very nice proposal, hat can also work very good as a way to open new horizons to all those who believe that music has frontiers and has nothing more new to offer. After all progress can never be stopped.
