This is a very well crafter pure AOR album, the third studio effort from
the Canadian band Final Frontier. They feature vocalist Rob Moratti
(Moratti) and guitarist, bassist and keyboard player Malden (Von Groove,
Triumph and 24k) augmented by guitarist Lawrence Falconer and drummer
Michael Shotton. While previously only avail in Japan, now Frontier’s has
release the band’s album in the European territories as well. The band
still churns out the same high quality AOR they did in their previous
albums, with Rob Moratti sounding a lot like Steve Perry. Over all think
JOURNEY, SURVIVOR and STYX. I think the album is slightly worse than the
sophomore effort, which I consider the best of the bunch, but over all it’s
a very good release and there’s a lot to sink your teeth in here, like the
title track, “Angel of the lake”, “beauty and the beast” and quite a few
more pleasant tunes.
