BLACKSHIFT is a band that was created in 2003 but they could have easily been a band from the 80’s. Their demo “Chimera” could have easily been released about15-20 years before. Bay Area thrash at its best. Power, energy, strength and aggressiveness are what you’ll find in this great work. Anyone who likes the old way of thrash metal, just the way it was in the beginning should listen to this demo. Maybe it is not modern and maybe some will say that it is a little “retro” but I thing that it is something we’re missing from the metal scene nowadays and sure there is free space for this music too in our hearings. So if you are a fan of the old glory days of thrash metal just look for this release. It sure a worthy try and it deserves our full attention. Let’s hope that the band will soon get a label contract so we’ll listen more from their great stuff.
