STORMWITCH is definitely one of the most underrated Metal bands ever. If it weren’t for HAMMERFALL’s cover of the classic track “Ravenlord” this band would remain known to an even smaller group of Metal fans. Having lost my interest in the band’s latest releases, I wasn’t expecting much from this CD. And I was more than right. The album is just awful and not even one song can stand out. 12 songs (plus a bonus track) are included in an album that is a disgrace for the sacred name of STORMWITCH. Andy Muck (the singer) is the only remaining member of the original line-up. His voice and his lyrics are the only connection the STORMWITCH of the year 2004 have with the band that released masterpieces like “Walpurgis Night”, “Tales of Terror” and “Stronger than Heaven”. This album may appeal to all the fans of happy-“metal” but all the “narrow-minded” Metal fans (like me) should avoid it. Those interested in this huge band should check out the re-releases of their first classics that will be available soon.
