This is the sixth album of Nocte Obducta and one that’s going to please very much the fans of avantgarde type of black metal. It consists of only 5 songs, but hold your breath: each song can last up to approximately 15 minutes so you have a cd of 51 minutes of music that will travel you through the seasons. Yes, this album may not be a conceptual one, as one may think looking at the titles, but it can certainly relate to one. There is the Introduction, the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter and each song is a journey into each seasons sense that hides in it every kind of colour and emotion. The music is pure black metal, a bit Dimmu Borgir style and in the album you get to enjoy parts of pure darkness, melody and aggressiveness given in a satisfactory and quite clever way (you get to listen even to African percussions!) The lyrics are in German so not many of us get to enjoy a verbal companion into these musical journeys. All in all a very good album. And those of you who will listen to it and enjoy it wait for a 2005 release of the second part.
